New Zealand Winemaker Battles Counterfeits, Frost + High-Altitude Challenges

"It's like us looking at Mandarin; you don’t really know what you're reading," Tyney explains.

Cirro Wines has a reputation for very high-quality wines but has recently been on the receiving end of a copycat attempt that has been found in the Chinese market.

David Tyney, co-owner of Cirro Wines, shares the story from discovering the counterfeits and his efforts protecting the reputation of the wine brand.

He also explores the challenges of vineyard life, including a recent frost in Marlborough that threatened their budding Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc crops.

Additionally, Tyney talks about his unique high-altitude project in the Yunnan Province, home to one of the highest vineyards on earth.
