More FM and Tip Top are celebrating this week’s Mental Health Awareness Week. Listen to the Breakfast Club as we go over different ways of helping your mental wellbeing, with prizes to be won everyday!
On Monday we look at Manaki, and see how helping someone in small but meaningful ways. Even simple acts, like carrying groceries or holding a door open for a stranger, can set off a chain reaction of kindness that uplifts the whole community.
Tuesday we look at Tautoko, by discovering and supporting local businesses or community organisations. We look at how making small purchases, sharing them on social media, or recommending them to a friend over coffee can make a difference.
Wednesday we look at Whānau, by reminding you to reach out to a friend or Whānau member you may not have connected with in a while.
Thursday is for Tūhono, we look at how building relationships with those who live in your community can create a supportive network right at your doorstep. Introduce yourself to a neighbour, a parent at your child’s school, or someone at your local park.
Finally, Friday is for Whakawhetai. What better way to finish off the week than to say thank you to someone in your community?
